Carroll Cooper, MD,  the latest addition to SpineCenterAtlanta and affiliates, is an interventionalist who specializes in physical medicine and the management and treatment of orthopedic pathologies at our newest location SpineCenterRiverdale, and at our other locations in Atlanta and Conyers. Dr. Cooper, the Medical Director of SpineCenterRiverdale, brings over ten years of experience in pain management and a background in sports injuries to the Spine Center family.

Dr. Cooper, holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Morehouse College and a Medical Degree from University of Alabama School of Medicine. In addition, he completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Medical College of Wisconsin, where he earned the title of Chief Resident, and a Fellowship in Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine from the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, one of the most renowned facilities in the US. Dr. Cooper is double board certified in both Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and in Pain Management.

Dr. Cooper is an expert in designing comprehensive, patient-centered treatment plans utilizing cutting-edge as well as time-tested treatments to maximize function and quality of life for his patients. In treating patients, he specializes in interventional therapies, physical medicine and stem cell/regenerative therapies. Dr. Cooper focuses on non-surgical techniques as a method to relieve his patients’ ailments and pain. He believes in finding the most conservative options to provide pain relief.

Dr. Cooper, a native of Hunstville, Alabama, now resides in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife and three small children where when he is not working, enjoys spending time with his family, biking, reading, and also enjoys traveling.
