Hello I’m Dr. Robin Rizk, born and raised in a dynamic fashion between two places far from here but close to my heart, Zalka, Mount Lebanon and Behwayta, North Lebanon.
I grew up in a family I can call both conservative and quite modern in many ways. All my school years were spent in College Notre-Dame de Jamhour, which is Jesuit-led and French education-based. This was followed by a BS in Biology and a Medicine degree at the American University of Beirut, bringing me in direct contact with medical staff on all fronts and letting me get nominated and finally elected as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society which was an achievement I am proud of. My favorite discipline has been Orthopedics; and most interesting topics were always related to the human suffering due to aging, degenerative joint disorders and injury-related pain, all of which can be nowadays alleviated and/or treated successfully. This drove me to join the Orthopedics division of the Department of Surgery at the American University of Beirut Medical Center, and over the years my learning ambition started to lean towards the spine and its disorders.
